Day 3 –
Ohhh the places you’ll go and the people you’ll meet.
Welcome to NCL. 946 Crew Members. 2,800 Passengers. 17 Restaurants. 6 Bars. The only US Flagged ship in the world. Welcome to Hawaii. 4 Islands. One week of pure excitement for the passengers.
As for me… I have not even really ventured higher than Deck 3 (There are 15 Decks).
What is happening in my head……………….
Basic First Aid. CPR. Man Overboard (Code Oscar). Firefighting 101. Self-Safety. Vessel familiarization. Code Bravo. Guest satisfaction. Escape routes. Emergency Procedures. Code Alpha. Crowd Control. Drug Lectures. And the list goes on……….
Are there even guests aboard this ship you may ask? Ohhh yeahhh Im still living and training on a full working ship I just have no idea what is going on. Swaying back and fourth as we cross the Pacific Ocean from Hilo I’m currently taking a quick break from an intense study session to ensure I pass all my tests and don’t get asked to go home just to keep you updated on this crazy new life I am living.
As I walk down the hall I pass dancers. Band members. Waiters. Magicians. Game-show hosts. Life Guards. Bartenders. DJ’s. Cooks. Guest services. Hotel management. Security guards. And possibly an Elvis impersonator… but I’m not too sure. Ohhhh the places you’ll go… and the people you’ll meet.
Im excited to actually put on a uniform and join this marching band of cruise employees but for now Im pushing forward and learning the required safety procedures. Soon I will have my chance in joining this crazy cast of people to make an impact on the cruise of a lifetime!
PS) This picture is taken with my phone :)
