Day 5 --

Alright I got some good news, I passed the fire 101 test, which is the hardest test we have to take. I am pretty excited about this accomplishment, so we went out for drinks and dinner on the island of Kauai to celebrate not getting sent home yet another day! As each day passes by I still ponder the question of how I ended up living on the ocean and working one of the most amazing jobs there is. Is it luck, skill, or simply just what life has in store for me. Either way I am living it to the fullest. With such a huge staff there are so many different types of people working on board ranging in age from 81 to 18. The average age of the crew is 23, which fits me pretty well being 22 and all. Am I home sick yet… kinda, not really though. I have talked to friends and family almost everyday since departing. The Colorado life was a good life and such a huge chapter that I will never forget, but the next chapter that I am starting is going to take the book of Josh for a whole new spin. So as I lay here preparing for the next day and about to wake up at 0500, I smile and remember all of the good times, and the times to be had.
Good Night.
