Haleakala Crater

So I woke up at 3AM this morning for an adventure I will never forget. One of my friends rented a car and we drove up to Haleakla. Haleakla is a crater that is on the island of Maui about two hours or so away from our port. Traveling up this road as it twisted up the mountain side I kinda got a little sick…. We got to the top of the crater around 5AM so it was still dark, after a quick nap in the car, we headed to watch the sun rise. At 10,023 Feet it was as cold as Colorado but it was the most amazing site! Being above the clouds and the sun as it rises was such an amazing feeling! I began to wonder if this is what Pilots see during sunrise! I will have to as Preston Dale for that answer one day! I just want to say that living here in Hawaii has been so wonderful so far! It is currently my one month anniversary, only four more months  before vacation! Wow has time flew by!
